The Fort Mitchell Fire Department was established in 1928 and celebrated it's 75th anniversary in 2003. Over the years it has become one of the finest equipped and most well-trained departments in the state. This is evidenced by the fact that Fort Mitchell, along with the territory it protects, enjoys a Class 3 Fire Protection Classification. This is an extremely good rating for a volunteer fire department and means a savings on the fire insurance premiums paid by citizens. The department is proud of its facilities in the City Building and welcomes you to call and arrange for a tour at your convenience.
