Legal Notice of Sale of Franchise to Use the Public Right of Way for the Operation and Maintenance of a Telecommunications System
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Sections 163 and 164 of the Kentucky Constitution that the City of Crestview Hills (the “City”) will consider offers for sale to the highest and best bidders, plus all costs including advertising cost, a telecommunications system franchise as defined in Ordinance 2019-11-01 adopted by the City of Crestview Hills City Council on December 12th, 2019.
The franchise shall be non-exclusive and shall allow the franchisee to construct, erect, maintain, and operate in the public streets, avenues, alleys, and other public ways of the City of Crestview Hills a system of poles, wires, cables, underground conduits, manholes and other conductors or fixtures necessary for the operation and maintenance of a telecommunications system. The franchise shall be for a term of ten years and shall be effective on the date is awarded.
A copy of the Ordinance 2019-11-01 establishing the non-exclusive franchise is available on the website www.crestviewhills.com.
All persons desiring to submit a bid for franchise to provide such services may do so at any time by submitting a bid (that complies with the RFB specifications applicable to the franchise) by 10:00 a.m. EST February 25th, 2020 to the City Administrator at 50 Town Center Boulevard, Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
The City of Crestview Hills reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in awarding the franchise, and to accept what, in its opinion, are the responsible and best bids which are in the best interests of, and most advantageous to, the City of Crestview Hills.
