DO NOT FORGET PROPERTY TAXES !
t is definite! It's that time of year again when the leaves fall, it's supposed to turn colder, and City property taxes are due. If you would like to verify that your mortgage company has paid or asked for your tax bill, please call the City Building. This is especially important for those residents who purchased their home after January 1, 2000 because the tax roll furnished to the City from the Kenton County Property Valuation office usually lists the home owner as of that date. We make all efforts to make sure that sales reports are sent to us from PVA, however, please remember that it is ultimately the homeowner's responsibility to obtain and pay the tax bill. If you are a homeowner, aged 65 or older, or on disability income, you may be eligible to receive the Homestead Exemption on your property tax bill. Contact the Kenton County PVA at 491-2728 to apply. If approved by Kenton County, the exemption will automatically flow to the City. If you have not received your City property tax bill and you do not have your taxes paid through escrow, please contact the City Building to obtain a duplicate copy. (Continued on page 3)
