Shaker Village Trip As of now, the list stands at 30 to go on the Shaker Village trip, Saturday, August 5th.  There is room for five to ten more people but names and release forms must be turned in no later than August 1st.  If you do not have a release form on file, you will not be permitted to board the bus. The cost of the trip is $20, which includes the tour of the village, riverboat excursion, and bus ride to and from the village.   The trip fee needs to be paid at the City Building no later than 5PM, August 3rd, so we may have an accurate count.    The bus will depart from the parking lot beside the City Building at 9:30 AM.  Anticipated arrival time is 11:30 AM.  Participants will have lunch in the village dining room consisting of : Corn sticks and cole slaw Gelatin salad Hot breads and 3 vegetables Choice of beverage and dessert Country pork, dressing, gravy The cost of the lunch is $10 and this includes the tip. Monies will be collected on the bus for the lunch so there will be more time to enjoy the facilities.   At 1:30 PM, the group will tour the village and see artisans at work.  After the tour, the group will be on their own to explore crafters at the Pleasant Valley Craft fair. 		NEW 10-DIGIT DIALING As many are aware, the Northern Kentucky area received a new area code on April 1 of this year.  However, on October 1, 2000 any phone call made, within the tri-state area, will require the use of all ten digits in the phone number to complete the call and the dedicated use of the 859 area code. Cincinnati Bell would prefer  its customers to begin using the new process to alleviate any confusion on October 1st.  These changes have become necessary due to the large numbers of business lines, residential lines, fax lines, computer lines, and cellular phones.
