Text Box: Another Renfro trip has been planned, this time to hear the down home comedy of the timeless Carl Hurley. A favorite of Crestview Hills residents, he delights audiences with his reflections on life as viewed by a native of Appalachia with a singular sense of the absurd. Part of a family of natural-born storytellers from the hills of Laurel County, Kentucky, Hurley combines his innate skills as a yarn-spinner with the expressiveness of a great comic actor. With an impish giggle on his lips and a benign twinkle in his eye, Carl spreads an infectious form of fun that is often outrageous yet always good-natured and clean.
We will also be having the wonderful Renfro Valley dinner, with southern fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, corn bread, etc.
The bus will leave the City Building north lot at 2PM on Friday November 5, arriving at Renfro between 4:15 and 4:30PM. Concert tickets will be retrieved upon arrival at Renfro Valley and distributed during dinner.
Price for this trip is $35 and there are 21 spots available. Reservations will be made upon payment of ticket only.
Get your group together today. Spots will go fast!
