Wayfinding Signage Office Park Project

Over the past 20 years, the City of Crestview Hills, Kentucky has seen a substantial amount of high quality development, attributed mostly to its convenient location. The Thomas More Office Park was developed in the late 1980’s and is adjacent to the Thomas More College, and within close proximity to the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospital Campus. With an increased volume of visitors to the office park, the current sign program does not provide the clarity of direction and information needed for the tenants now located there or the persons who visit those businesses. The City is interested in providing a branded wayfinding sign system as a feature amenity for retention and attraction of tenants to the office park.

The wayfinding planning process began with an exploratory phase which incorporated site visits and brainstorming sessions with Studio Graphique, the design consultants for the project, and the Steering Committee.  The Steering Committee was comprised of members of the Economic Development Committee, the City Administrator and representatives from businesses in the office park.  Based on the input from the exploratory phase, specific goals were developed to guide the development, design and implementation  of the Thomas More Office Park Signage and Wayfinding program.

A letter was sent to the owners of each property in the Office Park explaining the program as well as to serve notice of a Public Hearing regarding the establishment of a Special Improvement District to collect an assessment from each property owner to help finance the project.
